Dear Angels,
We will write today about the dangers associated, at least partly, with the New Age philosophy, a field of study that cannot be neglected given its impact on millions of souls aspiring to happiness and enlightenment without finding them, that in the hope that they as well as others will find the fulfillment they seek. We will introduce the subject by a Baha'i pronouncement, followed by a remark by the apostle Timothy:
Without further details, you will now take the measure of the gravity of the situation, and that, directly from the mouths of three emblematic figures of the New Age, starting with the Director of the United Nations Planetary Initiative, David Spangler, in his book, Reflections on the Christ:
"Christ is the same force as Lucifer, Lucifer prepares man for the experience of Christ-hood. He is the great initiator and works within each of us to bring us to wholeness, and as we move into a New Age, each of us in some way is brought to that point which I term the Luciferic Initiation," furthermore stating that "No one will enter the New World Order unless he or she will make a pledge to worship Lucifer. No one will enter the New Age unless they will take a Luciferian initiation".
No less advocating for an Aquarian Age of darkness instead of light, the "mother of the New Age," Helena Blavatsky, would write: "Lucifer is divine and terrestrial Light, 'the Holy Ghost' and 'Satan' at one and the same time." As for Alice Bailey, let us just say that she founded the Lucifer Trust, name changed to the Lucis Trust some time after, what tells a lot.
Let us now recall some historical facts with highly instructive details.
We are at the beginning of the twentieth century. The occult theory of some great Aryan masters existing in the subterranean kingdom of Agartha, under the Himalayas, attracts there, hordes of souls in search of novelty and the absolute. The key figure in this craze is Helena Blavatsky, founder of the Theosophical Society, who claims to receive her "secret" teachings from them by telepathy, the now legendary "channelling". As a result, Hitler, Himmler and the SS, avowed occultists, while secretly developing brand new military technologies, try to master as well the envied alleged superhuman powers of the Atlantes. In only twelve years of power, the Nazi ideology will kill 50 million people, an ideology supported by the pseudo-mystical Thule Lodge based on the teachings of Blavatsky. And so it was that a Hitler possessed by the 'Bearer of Light' would rant: "The task which Christ began but did not finish, I will achieve!"
How could such madness of an entire people take root? In the lies and deceptions that secret societies are fond of. Didn't Hitler say: "Tell a lie loud enough and long enough and people will believe it"?
More recent attempts to get us to worship an imaginary god, is the infiltration of Satanism into the school system under the guise of being a "religion"! But as if this scandal was not enough, a session of the Kenai Peninsula Borough Council in Alaska, not too long ago, began with a resounding prayer to Lucifer ended by "Hail Satan"! As usual, the incriminating videos were promptly removed from view...
For the sake of argument, here is one last example of the hazardous New Age mentality.
In reaction to the Vietnam War, the Peace and Love generation is born, a movement considered somewhat spiritual because of its emphasis on human brotherhood. Except that among the substitutes it offers to a youth on the margins, exist a hedonistic philosophy celebrating such self-indulgence that it lead the many in somber alleys due to the concomitant adoption of false premises very much in vogue in the New Age community, such as these:
- Humans are androgynous; heterosexuality is learned.
- Abortion replaces contraception; free love is thus the order of the day.
- Man is just an evolved animal; let's get rid of our religious conditioning.
- There is no such thing as evil; value judgments must disappear.
- We chose our present life; we simply live our karma.
- There is no afterlife; there is only reincarnation.
- We are all self-sufficient; we are the only authority.
- Intuition prevails over reason; meditation is the best tool of investigation.
- Psychotropic drugs open consciousness; cosmic fusion is their goal.
- Lucifer is the Bearer of Light; he gives us enlightenment.
- We are co-creators of the universe; we are gods.
To put it like the Guardian did: "...ideologies fundamentally at variance with the universal tenets of our Faith". To tell it bluntly: a pure rebellion against God and His order of things; a reversal of the fundamental values to substitute human imaginations and perversions where the true rubs shoulder with the false to better confuse people's minds, especially with regard to sexuality, moving them progressively from all that is noble, healthy, true and beautiful.
If the New Age beliefs and ideals are not all the same, many being very near the Baha'i philosophy, the distance it takes from organizational religion and from the concept of obedience to a revealed Covenant represents the major problem. It is also the very source of the success of the varied ways intimated by Spangler when saying that everyone will take "the Luciferic initiation". That is to say, moving people away from religion by sedulously offering them a spirituality devoid of moral obligations, inviting them to self-focus instead of self-forgetfulness; to psychic abilities instead of virtues; to channelled material instead of the Word of God.
Let us pray to be protected from such contamination and turn closely to the study of the Scriptures to sift the true from the false, for the PROPOSITIONS of the proponents of such liberalism are often as subtle as poisoned honey. There is no shortcut to true spirituality, the acquisition of the virtues indispensable to our INFINITE PROGRESS and that of humanity.

How tragic is the record of the substitute faiths that the worldly-wise of our age have created. In the massive disillusionment of entire populations who have been taught to worship at their altars can be read history’s irreversible verdict on their value.

Spread far and wide the precepts and counsels of the loving Lord, so that this world will change into another world, and this darksome earth will be flooded with light, and the dead body of mankind will arise and live; so that every soul will ask for immortality, through the holy breaths of God.
