Dear One,
We will explore today the potential risks associated to the New Age philosophy, a significant area of study that impacts countless individuals aspiring to happiness and enlightenment without achieving it, that in the hope that they find at last the true fulfillment they seek.
We will introduce the subject by a Baha'i pronouncement, followed by a remark by the apostle Timothy:
One was the New Age movement, aimed to attract the spiritually minded into the net of the secret societies. You will take the measure of the seriousness of the matter directly from three emblematic figures of the New Age, starting with David Spangler, who once served as the Director of the United Nations Planetary Initiative, in his BOOK, Reflections on the Christ.
"Lucifer works within each of us to bring us to wholeness, and as we move into the New Age, which is the age of man's wholeness, each of us is brought to that point which I term the Luciferic Initiation, the particular doorway through which the individual must pass if he is to come fully into the presence of his light and his wholeness. Lucifer comes to give us the final gift of wholeness. If we accept it, then he is free and we are free, that is the Luciferic Initiation. It is one that many people now, and in the days ahead, will be facing, for it is an initiation into the New Age."
Helena Blavatsky, known as the "mother of the New Age" and founder of the Theosophical Society, also controversially proclaimed her allegiance to darkness over Light, bluntly declaring: "Lucifer is both divine and earthly Light, embodying both the 'Holy Ghost' and 'Satan' simultaneously," Alice Bailey, her successor, established the Lucifer Trust, later renamed the Lucis Trust.
It's important to reflect on other historical details that offer significant insights. At the dawn of the twentieth century, the intriguing notion of ancient Aryan masters residing in the hidden realm of Agartha beneath the Himalayas captivates many souls seeking new experiences and ultimate truths. Central to this fascination is Blavatsky, who asserts that she receives her 'secret' knowledge through telepathy, a phenomenon now known as channeling. Consequently, figures like Hitler, Himmler, and the SS, who openly embrace occult practices, simultaneously work on developing advanced military technologies while also striving to harness the coveted superhuman abilities attributed to the Atlanteans. The outcome? Within just twelve years of their regime, the Nazi ideology leads to the deaths of 50 million individuals, a belief system bolstered by the pseudo-mystical Thule Lodge, which draws from Helena's teachings. And so a Hitler possessed by the 'Bearer of Light' will rant: "The task which Christ began but did not finish, I will achieve!" How could such a collective madness emerge among an entire population? It often stems from the fabrications and deceit that secret societies thrive on. Wasn't it said: "Tell a lie loud enough and long enough and people will believe it"?
Recent efforts to promote the worship of a fictitious deity have led to the insidious spread of Satanism within our educational institutions, masquerading as a legitimate 'religion.' As if that weren't shocking enough, some local government meetings, such as the ONE previously conducted by the Kenai Peninsula Borough Council in Alaska, now commence with a powerful invocation to Lucifer, concluding with the chilling phrase "Hail Satan!"
- Humans are androgynous; heterosexuality is learned.
- Abortion replaces contraception; free love is thus the order of the day.
- Man is just an evolved animal; let's get rid of our religious conditioning.
- There is no such thing as evil; value judgments must disappear.
- We chose our present life; we simply live our karma.
- There is no afterlife; there is only reincarnation.
- We are all self-sufficient; we are the only authority.
- Intuition prevails over reason; meditation is the best tool of investigation.
- Psychotropic drugs open consciousness; cosmic fusion is their goal.
- Lucifer is the Bearer of Light; he gives us enlightenment.
- We are co-creators of the universe; we are gods.
As articulated by the Guardian, these are "...ideologies fundamentally at variance with the universal tenets of our Faith," and indeed, all genuine faiths. To be frank, they represent a blatant defiance against God and His divine order; a distortion of essential values that replaces them with human fantasies and corruptions, blurring the lines between truth and falsehood, particularly concerning sexuality, ultimately leading individuals away from what is noble, wholesome, authentic, and beautiful.
While New Age beliefs and ideals may differ, with many closely resembling Baha'i philosophy, the significant issue lies in their departure from organized religion and the notion of adhering to a revealed Covenant. This divergence is also the root of the success of the various paths suggested by Spangler, who mentioned that everyone will undergo "the Luciferic initiation." In essence, this means leading individuals away from traditional religion by enticing them with a spirituality that lacks moral responsibilities, encouraging self-centeredness over selflessness, and promoting psychic powers instead of virtuous living, favoring channeled messages over the Word of God. We must pray for protection against such influences and diligently study the Scriptures to discern truth from deception, as the ARGUMENTS put forth by advocates of this liberalism can be as insidious as honey laced with poison.
Indeed, there are no quick paths to genuine spirituality, nor to the essential virtues required for our boundless individual ADVANCEMENT and that of all humanity. As stated in the Baha'i Writings:
We will introduce the subject by a Baha'i pronouncement, followed by a remark by the apostle Timothy:
How tragic is the record of the substitute faiths that the worldly-wise of our age have created. In the massive disillusionment of entire populations who have been taught to worship at their altars can be read history’s irreversible verdict on their value.

...in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils; speaking lies in hypocrisy. It all started in the previous century. Disillusioned by the absurdities added to the original biblical texts, some rebellious souls disavowed their religious heritage, embracing a mix of practices and beliefs that, for some, turned out to be another kind of social control.

Here's another example for you. In the 1960s, in response to the Vietnam
War, the Peace and Love generation emerged. Previously unknown rock
bands introduced their hedonistic ideals to a youth on the fringes of
society: mass protests, communism, personal freedom, free love, and
psychedelic drugs became the hallmarks of the hippie counter-culture's
new paradise. However, just days before the Woodstock Festival, where
half a million fans gathered, a shocking and widely publicized crime
sent shockwaves around the world, marking the decline of Flower Power.
Let me share a glimpse of this story.

We must turn aside from these vain imaginings and suppositions and philosophizings of the world, and fix our eyes upon the clear stream of the Teachings of Bahá'u'lláh.
*
...the purpose of religion is the acquisition of praiseworthy virtues, the betterment of morals, the spiritual development of mankind, the real life and divine bestowals.*
The Faith of the Blessed Beauty is summoning mankind to safety and love, to amity and peace; it hath raised up its tabernacle on the heights of the earth, and directeth its call to all nations. Wherefore, O ye who are God’s lovers, know ye the value of this precious Faith, obey its teachings, walk in this road that is drawn straight, and show ye this way to the people. Lift up your voices and sing out the song of the Kingdom. Spread far and wide the precepts and counsels of the loving Lord, so that this world will change into another world, and this darksome earth will be flooded with light, and the dead body of mankind will arise and live; so that every soul will ask for immortality, through the holy breaths of God.
Be wonderfully blessed!
